Looking back at the journal entries during my 16 days in Yunnan, I am amazed by the numerous lessons that the Lord has taught me in such a short time span. Even though I finally felt convicted by the Lord to go on my maiden mission trip to China, I must admit that I went on this trip with much apprehension and uncertainty. I have heard many accounts of how life was like in the mission field in Yunnan and they definitely did not leave behind a good impression in me. Also, our schedule was really fluid and till the very week before departure there were still changes being made to it. All I knew was that I would be in some part of Yunnan probably Dali, doing some HIV prevention work and that was all. Hence, with all that limited knowledge, I went to China waiting for the Lord to lead me where He wanted me to go and never did I expect that through this experience He opened up a brand new spiritual dimension to me which I had not realised prior to visiting Yunnan and fellowshipping with my brothers and sisters from Australia and China.
